AI assistant Liao
By actual use
A normal question uses a few dozen to a hundred-odd characters; stronger models and deeper thinking use more and are marked “uses more credit” in the menu. Each picture is 3,500 characters, or 10,500 redrawn with a better model. Every charge is listed in the app under Settings → Usage.
Top-up amounts
Bigger top-ups come with extra characters, and credit never expires. You pay in USDT; 1 USDT is 1 US dollar. Invite a friend: you get 100,000 characters when they have used 200, and another 200,000 after their first top-up (copy your invite link inMy account, in Chinese for now).
| Amount | Characters | Translates aboutBased on about 50 characters per message (roughly a sentence of 8–10 English words, or 25 Chinese characters), translation only. Longer messages mean fewer, shorter ones more. Asking Liao and making pictures are charged by actual use. | Extra | Buy |

For a team or company: the main account buys, sub-accounts share it
- 1 set = 1,500,000 characters, shared by the main account and its sub-accounts. Same prices as for yourself, with extra characters on bigger orders.
- Buy on the main account; the characters go to the main account.
- In My account, create a sub-account for each person with a name and password (up to 20).
- For each sub-account, choose to share the main account’s balance or give it a fixed amount that stops when used up.
- Sub-accounts can only sign in to the desktop app. They can’t sign in to the website or top up.

How characters are counted
- By the original text: whatever is being translated is what counts.
- Each Chinese character counts as 2; each letter, Japanese kana, Thai letter, digit, space or punctuation mark counts as 1.
- A sentence already translated on this computer comes from the local cache and isn’t counted again; on another computer, or after clearing the cache, it counts as usual.
- A 50-letter English message is 50; 20 Chinese characters you type and translate are 40. A normal-length message is about 50 characters, so 10,000 characters covers roughly 200 messages.
- Documents translated on the Translate page (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and other files) count half: 1,000 characters of original text use 500. Parts that fail to translate are not counted.
- Asking Liao, making pictures, voice to text and reading pictures are charged by actual use; nothing is charged if there is no answer or you cancel.
- Settings → Usage in the app shows what you have left, today’s and this month’s use, daily use for the last 30 days and every charge. The app warns you once when you are running low.
How to top up
- Log in on the website and click Top up at the top right (or “Buy” in the table above), choose an amount, click to pay, and send USDT (TRC20 network) to the address shown.
- After pasting the address into your wallet, check that the first and last 4 characters match the page before sending: some malware swaps addresses on the clipboard.
- The amount ends in a 0.001–0.099 USDT identifier that tells us the payment is yours. Send exactly the amount shown, including all 3 decimals; when withdrawing from an exchange, pay the fee on top so exactly this amount arrives.
- Credit arrives automatically after the blockchain confirms, usually within minutes, and the page shows progress. If nothing has arrived after half an hour, send the order amount and transaction hash to support on Telegram@liaohelp_bot.
- Blockchain transfers can’t be reversed and top-ups aren’t refundable. Please read the top-up terms before paying.
- You can also choose “Enter your own amount” on the top-up page: from $5, whole dollars only, 42,857 characters per dollar, no extra.
Don’t have USDT?
- USDT is a digital currency pegged one-to-one to the US dollar. You can buy it with local money on a crypto exchange or wallet app that is legal where you live.
- When you withdraw it to us, choose the TRC20 network (also called TRON). On the wrong network the money won’t arrive.
- The exchange charges a withdrawal fee, usually around 1 USDT (check what it shows); add it on top so exactly the amount on the page arrives.
- If someone you know uses USDT, they can pay the amount on the page for you; the characters still go to your account.
- If it’s your first time and you get stuck, message support on Telegram@liaohelp_bot and we’ll walk you through it. This is our only official support account, and it will never message you first asking for money.
